Joes: The Cold War Diaries

Volume 2

About

The "Joes" are back with even more hilarious in-the-trenches stories about what fine young American soldiers do when they are bored... and possibly inebriated! Volume 1 was brief. Volume 2 is the Field Manual! All of your favorite Joes like Littleton, Harrington, Montez, and The Holy Roller are back for more, as well as a few new barracks clowns for you to giggle at as well.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to American Gold Star Mothers, Inc., a non-profit organization comprised of mothers who have lost a son or daughter in the service of our country.

Praise for this book

When you pick up this book be WARNED! You are NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO PUT IT DOWN! So be prepared to spend a few hours laughing until your sides hurt and tears roll down your face! If you served anywhere in the military in the 80s or 90s then you know the people in this book. The names, ranks, and story lines may be different, but each of us that served knew them. The author, a true wordsmith, has the ability to paint in vivid color and imagery, exactly what it was like to be an enlisted soldier in the 80s. So if you served in Germany, Korea, Central America, stateside, or in any of the out way holes the Army found itself in, this book is the story of your service. No matter where you served you knew the barracks lawyer, the prankster, the preacher, the Blue Falcon, and the instigator. The only disappointment I have with this book, is that I finished it in one sitting and now can’t wait until the third installment. So if you, or someone you know, served in the 80s, get this book! Go ahead and get volume 1 also! Then get a copy of both for a veteran in your life. They will thank you for it.
